Learning workshops of creative and innovative ways of addressing young people's needs, goals and aspirations through interactive film making group work and individual activities.
Using mobile phones, supported by laptops and computers, as a film making tool that can be used to express ideas, opinions and to connect with an audience.
This course is a stepping stone to bring out the inner journalist, filmmaker, and storyteller, while developing English, Maths and IT skills.
Young people will produce short videos on mobile phones about, for example:
- a passion.
-issues affecting me and my friends.
-someone I love/admire.
-a day in my life.
-my favourite place in Southwark/London or elsewhere.
Young people's film making will be linked together and widely presented to audiences.
These learning activities will build personal development, creativity, literacy, numeracy and employability skills.
Young people will be supported with careers support throughout the programme.
The workshops will be held at Peabody Darwin Court, Walworth, SE17.
