The great Get Together SE1
Living Bankside is pleased to host, once again, this year’s Great Get Together in SE1 which is part of the UK’s annual celebration of everything that unites our communities, inspired by the late Jo Cox MP
The Great Get Together SE1 is part of the UK’s annual celebration of everything that unites our communities, inspired by Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.
The Great Get Together SE1 is one of the biggest FREE community events in London.
The need to celebrate unity and reject division is as relevant now as it was when the first Great Get Together took place in 2017. This June, on what would have been Jo’s 50th birthday, we hope her message will continue to inspire our communities to bring people together.
This year the event will also feature Pride in Southwark (established by Living Bankside in 2023) to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and heritage in the area.
Festivities will include an array of music, performances, and children's activities.
The event will be held on Saturday, 22 June 2024 from 11am in and around Borough Yards, Golden Hinde, Southwark Cathedral, Potters Fields, London Bridge Station, and The Scoop, at More London. Living Bankside is delighted to work with local partners including Borough Market, Golden Hinde, Shakespeare's Globe, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and many more.
