Celebrating 30 Years of Art and Community
This June, celebrate a milestone event—the 30th anniversary of the Camberwell Arts Festival! Running from 8th to 16th June 2024, this festival is a vibrant celebration of creativity and community, showcasing the best of our local arts scene.
As the UK's longest-running visual arts festival, Camberwell Arts has consistently brought art from the studios to the streets, providing an immersive cultural experience for all. This year, the festival, themed "A Celebration of 30 Years," promises to honour its remarkable history with vibrant activities and events.
The festivities begin with a launch party at Camberwell Green on Saturday, 8th June, from midday until 5 pm. This family-friendly event includes art workshops, artist-designed sideshows, and live music from local talents. Highlights include London's artiest dog show and a delightful afternoon tea, paired with an expanded Camberwell Green Market and Camberwell Arts Market, where local artists and makers will showcase their work.
The festival is bookended with Open Studios on the first (8th and 9th June) and last weekends (15th and 16th June), offering a peek into the creative processes of local artists.
With a rich array of fringe activities, the Camberwell Arts Festival is set to be a memorable event, celebrating three decades of artistic legacy!
